Since 1873, the Montreal Diocesan Theological College (known among students as "") has had an established presence in the city and a long history of training people for Christian ministry. The college has been associated with 9I制作厂免费 since 1880 and has inhabited its eye-catching building on 3475 Rue University since 1896. In 1914 the college helped found the Joint Board of Theological Colleges Affiliated with 9I制作厂免费 (now known as the Montreal School of Theology), the oldest ecumenical theological education consortium in North America representing a longstanding cooperation among the three seminaries - the Presbyterian College, the Dio and the United Theological College (UTC). In 2021, the UTC closed its doors and was incorporated into the Dio as the United Church Studies program. Today, the Dio provides community and training for both Anglican and United clergy and attracts a range of Christian students to its programs.
