Title: The length spectrum of triangular surfaces.

Abstract: The marked length spectrum of a hyperbolic surface $\Sigma$ is the set of pairs $(\gamma, \ell(\gamma))$, where $\gamma$ ranges over closed geodesics in $\Sigma$. In 1990, Otal showed that this set completely determines the hyperbolic metric on $\Sigma$. Furthermore, using Selberg's trace formula, one may obtain information about the spectrum of the Laplace operator on hyperbolic surfaces from this length spectrum. In this talk, we will describe an algorithm that generates the length spectrum up to any length for triangular surfaces.
