Dear Med-1 and Med-2 Students,

Following the FMSQ’s announcement of their call for medical specialists to stop teaching and supervision activities, we are working on contingency plans on a week by week basis. We have updated your one45 schedule for the week of Sept. 15-19. Please make sure to review your one45 schedule, including in the morning before class to verify your room numbers.

Lectures
Any lectures given by family medicine physicians, non-physicians and tenure track professors will continue as scheduled. Any lectures given by medical specialists will be cancelled and we will post last year’s recordings in their place except for:

  • Contraception (Wednesday September 17) – joining remotely Campus Outaouais lecture. Details in one45.
  • Neonatal adaptation and resuscitation (Thursday September 18) - joining remotely Campus Outaouais lecture. Details in one45.

Lab activities

Lab activities will continue as scheduled.

Small groups

Small groups will continue, but they may be condensed, and your room assignments may change.

Physicianship

For Clinical Methods 1, your small group will proceed as usual. Please verify one45 for your room allocation.

For your Physicianship Apprenticeship course, if you have an Osler mentor meeting or clinical encounter scheduled next week, please contact your Osler mentor to verify if your meeting will take place or if it will be postponed.

Do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions. Updates will be provided on a regular basis via the Info-MDCM as well as via the School of Medicine website.
