Yichen Li听

Master's student

My research examines lymph node changes during Barrett's esophagus progression to esophageal adenocarcinoma and their correlation with disease outcomes.

Manal Al Dow

Postdoc 听

My project aims to demonstrate the causal relationship between emergency myelopoiesis, polymorphonuclear granulocytes (PMNs) production, and tumor progression. I am developing a human model of gastro-esophageal adenocarcinoma (GEA) using organ-on-a-chip technology, incorporating the primary tumor site, regional lymph nodes, and bone marrow from the same patient. This model will help simulate tumor-immune interactions and metastasis development.

Roni Zaks

Master's student

My project investigates how exercise, nutrition and coping mechanisms before surgery鈥攌nown as multimodal prehabilitation鈥攃an boost immune function and reduce inflammation in people with lung cancer. By analyzing blood samples during the pre-operative period, I aim to understand and characterize how these interventions might enhance the body鈥檚 natural ability to fight tumors and improve recovery after surgery.

Research Interest:

Lung cancer, prehabilitation, immunology, Natural Killer cells, T cells
