Want to connect with librarians across the Montreal area? Join ABQLA! Membership is free and gives you access to a variety of networking and educational events throughout the year. In addition to student-focused activities (we typically host an educational tour in the fall and a social event in the winter), our chapters for Academic & Research Libraries, Public Libraries, Youth Libraries, and Children鈥檚 Libraries all hold events that student members can attend at no cost. ABQLA is a fantastic way to meet librarians and engage with what鈥檚 happening in the field right now.
ABQLA also runs a Mentorship Program each year, providing a valuable opportunity to be paired with a librarian mentor who can share their experiences and offer one-on-one guidance throughout the year. Students are matched with mentors working in their fields of interest.
