Applications for 2025 are now closed.
Applications for Summer 2026 SURAs are expected to open in January 2026.
For reference purposes, the 2025 application form asked for:
- Name, Email
- Telephone (Optional)
- Department, type of appointment in that department
- Student's name
- Grant number (Optional)
- Project details which you can copy/paste from the NSERC/CIHR/SSHRC USRA application if you are also sponsoring the student in that competition:
- Title
- Project outline (250 words max. recommended)
- Student's role (2-3 sentences recommended; "The student will...")
- Expected quality of training and mentorship (2-3 sentences recommended).
- Duration (15 weeks? Less? More?)
- Project start date
- Acceptance of the terms of this award
