The TRANSFORM Partnership
A special feature of the鈥疶RANSFORM Partnership is the connection, directly or indirectly, 鈥痮f 19 centres, labs, studios, and institutes focused on one of more of the following: participatory visual and other arts-based methodologies,鈥痗ommunity engagement, social change, transformative forms of engagement.听
Spread across the various partner universities in six countries, this unique network serves variety of functions:
- A knowledge mobilization hub
- Knowledge exchange
- Potential for new collaborations
- Support to TRANSFORM鈥橲鈥痀2Y strategy
- Facilitating a mentoring and training agenda
- Advancing research in related areas of participatory visual methodologies and social change

The TRANSFORM Partnership features a unique network of university-based hubs focused on participatory visual and arts-based methodologies, community engagement, and social change.
There are thirteen labs in Canada including:

- Centre for Justice, Equity & Sustainable Action at the University of Fraser Valley
- Institute for Art, Community and Transdisciplinary Studies at NSCAD University

In the United States there is the Dolores Huerta Research Center for the Americas at the University of California Santa Cruz
In Mexico there is the Centro de Investigaciones sobre America del Norte at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico
In Nigeria there is the Aaye Odo Lab with the University of Waterloo听
In South Africa there are two centres:
- Centre for Social Change at the University of Johannesburg
- Centre for Visual Methodologies for Social Change at the the University of KwaZulu-Natal
And in Australia there is the Centre for Transformative Media Technologies at the Swinburne University of Technology
