Following is the schedule of Summer Fridays, statutory holidays and Christmas holidays in the year 2025 for Administrative and Support Staff.

Christmas/New Year's Holidays 2025-2026

During the Christmas period, the paid holidays will be from Thursday, December 25,听2025 to Friday, January 2, 2026, inclusive (the 10th Summer Friday will be taken on Friday, January 2, 2026).

Summer Fridays - 2025

a) The first 9 Summer Fridays will be taken on the following dates:

  1. June 23
  2. June 30
  3. July 11
  4. July 18
  5. July 25
  6. August 1
  7. August 8
  8. August 15
  9. August 22

b) The conditions covering the Summer Fridays are as follows:

i) Where the work of the department requires the attendance of some staff on that day, staff can听 be obliged to work, but an additional day off should be given. Preferably, this should be granted on the Monday.

ii) When a staff member takes vacation during the summer schedule, any Friday that falls into the vacation period will not count as a "vacation" day.

iii) When it is necessary to work on a Summer Friday morning because of essential services, compensating time off or overtime pay on a straight time basis should be arranged. When it is necessary to work on a Summer Friday afternoon because of essential services, compensating time off on a straight time basis, or overtime pay on a time-and-one-half basis, should be granted.
