You may qualify for an exemption if you:

1. Are a citizen and a resident of Denmark, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium, Serbia,聽Romania聽or Greece and you have obtained ;
2. Are sponsored by the Canadian Bureau for International Education(CBIE);
3. Are sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency(CIDA);
4. Are sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau(SACB);
5. Received an award from the International Council for Canadian Studies(ICCS);
6. Exchange through DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service;
7. Have a diplomatic visa in Canada;
8. Are a dependent of a worker at聽an organization that is聽under the umbrella of United Nations, an NGO or聽a non-profit international organization; such as: the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Union etc.
9. Are a non-resident of Canada聽i.e. must have thesis away or term-away status on transcripts*;聽
10. Refugee status
11. Have a valid card (including minor students) or other Canadian provincial insurance card (ex. OHIP) ; or
