Candidate Blurbs - Read before submitting your vote!

Deadline to submit vote: September 15, 2025

Each candidate was provided 200 words to introduce themselves, explain why they are interested in this role and why they would be the best fit.聽

Further to the joint responsibilities of the Executive, the VP Communications shall:

  1. Act as Webmaster with duties including maintaining up to date website content聽including:
    1. The Society鈥檚 Constitution,
    2. The names and contact information of:
      1. The Executive (with PGSS reps clearly identified);
      2. Site Representatives
    3. Archives (meeting minutes, council reports, etc.);
    4. Materials provided by the Executive (lists, statements, reports, records, etc.).
    5. Maintaining the functional and aesthetic qualities of the website.
    6. Ensuring that the Society鈥檚 website is in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, etc.
  2. Act as Recording Secretary for Council Meetings and General Assemblies;
  3. Maintain and organize up to date electronic (where appropriate) and paper (where appropriate) records of all of the Association鈥檚 documents including:
    1. financial records as provided by the VP Financial Affairs;
    2. Documentation arising from the activities of the Executive;
    3. Template and filled forms (e.g. Nomination Forms);
    4. The Association鈥檚 operations manuals.
  4. Be the liaison between the exec committee and the Site Representatives
  5. Compile and maintain a list of organizations to which the Society is related, and produce records of all procedures and documents required in establishing and maintaining such relationships;
