A foundational goal of D2R聽is to help cultivate the next generation of researchers. Being a D2R Scholar is the highest recognition available to D2R trainees and the awards recognize outstanding and active trainees performing research across all of聽D2R鈥檚 Foundational Axes.

The D2R Master鈥檚 and Doctoral Scholar Awards both financially support excellent graduate students while the D2R Postdoctoral Scholar awards aim to bring outstanding researchers from Canada and abroad to the D2R Initiative. These researchers will receive both financial support and leading-edge interdisciplinary and intersectoral training through the D2R Training Program.聽聽
