Dr. Yolande E. Chan joined 9I制作厂免费鈥檚 Desautels Faculty of Management as Dean and James 9I制作厂免费 Professor in August 2021.

Prior to joining Desautels, Dean Chan served as Associate Dean of Research, PhD and MSc Programs, and the E. Marie Shantz Chair of Digital Technology at Smith School of Business at Queen鈥檚 University. A gifted educator, Dean Chan received the Commerce Teaching Excellence Award and the Commerce Professor Student Life Award given to the professor who has contributed most to the student life of the graduating class. Dean Chan has also received the Queen鈥檚 University Distinguished Service Award, the Queen鈥檚 University Award for Excellence in Graduate Supervision, and a Smith School Researcher Achievement Award. She has previously served as Queen鈥檚 University鈥檚 Associate Vice-Principal (Research). Before joining academia, she worked with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Dean Chan holds a PhD in Business Administration from Ivey Business School at Western University, an MPhil in Management Studies from Oxford University (as a Rhodes Scholar), and SM and SB degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on innovation, knowledge strategy, digital strategy, and business-IT alignment. Her work has been published in all 11 journals in the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Senior Scholars鈥 List of Premier Journals (Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Information and Organization, Information Systems Journal, Information Systems Research, Journal of the AIS, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of MIS, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, and MIS Quarterly).

Dean Chan is a Distinguished Cum Laude member, Fellow, and LEO Award winner of the Association for Information Systems. The LEO Award recognizes outstanding scholars in the field of information systems who have made a global impact on the field.

Carine Feipel is a Luxembourg non-executive director with INSEAD (IDP-C) and ILA certifications, and in 2023 she earned the 鈥淚LA Certified Director, Fund Governance Expert鈥 credential.

With nearly 30 years of legal experience, Carine built her career as a partner at Arendt & Medernach, working in both Luxembourg and New York, before launching her independent practice in 2014. Since then, she has dedicated herself to independent directorships and to strengthening corporate governance across the financial sector.

She sits on the Boards of Directors of Banque de Luxembourg, several leading insurance companies (AIG, Foyer, Wealins, iptiQ by Swiss Re), as well as investment funds and management companies including Morgan Stanley, Fidelity, Wellington, and HSBC. She is the Chair of several of these Boards or their Audit Committees.

She also serves on the Board of the 艗uvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, a public not-for-profit institution supporting projects across a wide range of socially important areas.

From 2019 to 2023, she served as Chair of ILA, the Luxembourg Directors鈥 Institute, driving initiatives to elevate governance standards in Luxembourg.

Carine studied law in Paris, Brussels, and Berlin, and is fluent in Luxembourgish, French, German, and English.

Frank Krings is a Franco-German Independent Director, Executive, Senior Advisor and Investor across diverse sectors, markets and geographies. Over the past three decades, he has held executive and non-executive directorship, management and general partner roles at banks, asset management and investment advisory firms, investment funds, technology companies, industry associations and chambers of commerce in numerous developed and emerging markets across Europe, Asia and the United States. He currently serves, inter alia, as external Senior Advisor to several Private Equity or Venture Capital-backed companies and international advisory firms in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He further holds diverse statutory and civic mandates across Luxembourg, France and the United States.

Krings is an Officer of the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. He serves as President of the Luxembourg national committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris, and as President of the Arbitration Council in Luxembourg. He is an Independent Member of the Advisory Board of the 9I制作厂免费 Luxembourg Centre for Finance (MLCF). In Paris, he serves as Member of the Board and the Steering Committee of the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK). In the Republic of T眉rkiye, Krings was the Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Bank A.艦., Istanbul, from 2019 to 2024. Previously, from 2020 through 2022, he was Deutsche Bank Group's Chief Executive Officer for Western Europe and, from 2021 through 2022, the President and General Manager of Deutsche Bank in France. There, he also served on the Board of the Association Fran莽aise des Banques (AFB). Beyond, from 2020 to 2023, he was a Member of the Board of Directors of Deutsche Bank (Schweiz) AG, Geneva.

From 2016 through 2020, Krings was the Chief Executive Officer, and subsequently, from 2021 to 2024, a Member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank Luxembourg S.A. in the Grand Duchy. There, he was also a Member of the Supervisory Board of the UCITS management company and alternative investment fund manager DWS Investment S.A. from 2016 to 2021; he served on the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee of The Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL), and was an elected member of the plenary assembly of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for the 2019鈥2024 term. Before, from 2011 to 2016, Krings was the General Manager of Deutsche Bank in Thailand, where he also served as Chairman of the Association of International Banks (AIB), the foreign bankers' association in the Kingdom, from 2013 through 2015.

Krings had rejoined Deutsche Bank in 2011 after serving as Member of the Management Board of Munich-based Hypo Real Estate Holding and pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank from October 2008 through 2010, mandated to assure their restructuring. Previously, he had spent twelve years with Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and New York, holding various senior roles and serving on statutory boards of several regulated Deutsche Bank subsidiaries across Europe.

Krings is of German and French nationality and graduated with a combined degree in Business Administration and Electrical Engineering from Brunswick Technical University.

Jennifer de Nijs leads the Ministry's Department of the Development of the Financial Center, which handles the Minister's relations with the financial center and oversees the Ministry's teams on Sustainable Finance and on Digital Finance.

Jennifer has been at the Ministry for 11 years and has dedicated significant years to developing sustainable finance in Luxembourg, most notably through her tenure as the Head of Sustainable Finance. Her efforts have contributed to the growth of sustainable finance in Luxembourg and beyond, with an initial emphasis on climate, and now also integrating social aspects like gender finance.

She has played a key role in the establishment of a number of Luxembourg based initiatives, notably: the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI), which she helped set up and is now board President; the International Climate Finance Accelerator (ICFA) whose board she chaired in its foundational phase, and the Luxembourg Gender Finance Task Force, which she launched and chairs. Furthermore, she holds key strategic positions as a board member of the SDG Impact Finance Initiative and presides over the board of the Luxembourg Earth Impact Fund (LEIF).

Previous to her government position, Jennifer worked at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, at Clearstream and at American Express, as well as in civil society organisations including Caritas Luxembourg and the European Youth Forum.

After studying finance in Brussels, Jerry Grbic started his career in the banking
sector by joining Banque Internationale 脿 Luxembourg in 1996. He stayed there
for 12 years. He then joined Banque Degroof, where he developed the Luxembourg market. In 2012, he moved to Fortuna Banque, first as director and then as managing director.

Throughout his carrier, he acquired precious insights into a large area of banking services, holding positions in trading, credit risk management, corporate banking, private banking and retail banking.

His experience and general knowledge of the banking industry made him a prime candidate to take over the CEO position of the Association of Banks and Bankers, Luxembourg (ABBL), in April 2022.

Patrick Augustin is Associate Professor of Finance at the Desautels Faculty of Management at 9I制作厂免费, where he holds the Canada Research Chair in Macrofinance and Derivatives. He also serves as Associate Fellow at the Canadian Derivatives Institute, Director of the 9I制作厂免费 Luxembourg Centre for Finance, and Academic Director of the 9I制作厂免费 Master of Management in Finance Luxembourg program. In 2022, he received the Bank of Canada Governor鈥檚 Award.

He earned a PhD in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and has held visiting research positions at leading institutions around the world, including NYU Stern, UCLA Anderson, the Stockholm School of Economics, the University of Sydney, and the Luxembourg School of Finance. Certified as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM), he previously served as a Fellow of the World Economic Forum鈥檚 Global Future Councils and brings professional experience from both the private and public sectors through roles at Dexia and Luxembourg鈥檚 Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His research examines the valuation of financial derivatives and credit-risky securities, with applications to sovereign and corporate default, insider trading litigation, and digital financial assets. His work has been published in the leading academic journals in finance, including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, and Management Science, and has been widely cited in the financial press, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Fortune, Bloomberg, and The Globe and Mail. He currently serves as Associate Editor at Management Science, the Journal of Banking and Finance, and the International Review of Finance.

Serge Weyland is the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI), a role he has held since December 2023.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services, spanning asset management, private wealth management, fund administration and custody, institutional banking, and management consulting.

From 2010 to 2014, Serge served as Head of Regional Coverage North America & UK at CACEIS Group, followed by his role as Head of Financial Institutions at Banque Internationale 脿 Luxembourg (BIL) from 2014 to 2017. Before joining ALFI, he was CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (Luxembourg).

Serge also contributes to the wider financial ecosystem as a member of the Board of the Luxembourg Supervisory Authority (CSSF), the High-Level Committee of the Financial Centre established by the Ministry of Finance, and the Luxembourg Financial Industry Federation (PROFIL S.A.). At the international level, he sits on the boards of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) and the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA).

He holds a Master鈥檚 degree in Finance from the Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium. A native Luxembourgish speaker, Serge is fluent in German, French, and English.
