Wong Building 3610 rue University, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C5, CA

Mohammed Zourob received his Ph.D in 2003 from Department of instrumentation and Analytical Science (DIAS) from The University of Manchester. From 2003-2005 Dr. Zourob worked as a researcher at the University of Manchester working in biosensors and lab on a chip for life science applications. Then he moved to the Department of Biomaterials Science to work in developing high throughput screening platforms for 鈥淥mics鈥 applications. At the end of 2005 Dr. Zourob moved to the institute of Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge where his research focuses on optical sensing and lab-on-a chip. On late 2006 he headed the biosensors division at Biophage Pharma Inc. and then the R & D at GDG Environment. Dr. Zourob edited 5 monographs in biosensors, a number of patents and many peer-reviewed articles. Since September 2010 he is heading the BBBL lab at INRS where he has 6 post docs and 6 Ph.D students working in different projects related to biosensors, recognition receptors and lab on a chip. Dr. Zourob research interest includes the development of chemo/biosensors, highthroughput screening for 鈥淥mics鈥 applications, platform for therasonstics applications, and lab on a chip for life science applications.
