Multi-Track

The multi-track system is intended for students who want a program that includes significant components from Arts and from Science. You complete a Arts Major Concentration, a Science Major Concentration, and the required integrative course BASC 201 Arts and Science Integrative Topics. (3 credits).听

Programs offered by Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, and Psychology are considered Science programs for the purpose of the B.A. & Sc. The department of Geography, offers programs in both Arts and Science.

The following are the Major Concentrations available to B.A. & Sc. students:

Depending on the Arts or Science specific program that students want to enter in graduate school, the B.A. & Sc. may or may not be adequate preparation. If students intend to pursue an arts or science-specific program at the graduate level, they should consult academic advisors in that discipline at 9I制作厂免费 and at universities where they intend to apply in order to find out whether the B.A. & Sc. will prepare them adequately. If students are considering continuing on in a specific science graduate program, they should examine the difference between the preparation provided by the 36-credit major concentrations in the B.A. & Sc. program versus the significantly more specialized major and honours programs offered in the B.Sc. programs.

Joint Honours

Joint Honours programs in the B.A. & Sc. are created by combining a Joint Honours component from an arts discipline with another Joint Honours component from a science discipline. Joint Honours students should consult an advisor in each department to discuss their course selection and their interdisciplinary research project (if applicable). Students in a Joint Honours programs must complete the required integrative course Arts and Science Integrative Topics. (3 credits).
