 o affordable housing -- and its urban landscape assets -- becomes a critic
 al marker of equity\, and an indicator of a socially just and sustainable 
 society. This talk uses the rise and fall of affordable housing in San Fra
 ncisco to explore what happens when dubious infrastructure decisions coupl
 ed with a lack of government transparency are confronted with sudden econo
