 c.\n\nAbstract: Fedosov and\, independently\, de Wilde and Lecomte proved 
 that every smooth symplectic manifold admits a distinguished deformation q
 uantization defined up to a noncanonical isomorphism.\n\nBezrukavnikov and
  Kaledin later established an analogous result for affine symplectic varie
 ties over a field of characteristic zero.\n\nMoreover\, the assignment tha
 t takes an affine symplectic variety to the category of modules over the q
 uantized algebra can be promoted to a functor from the category of all sym
 plectic varieties to the 2-groupoid of categories.\n\nI will review some o
 f these results and then explain an analogous picture in positive characte
 ristic (due to Bezrukavnikov-Kaledin and Bogdanova-Kubrak-Travkin-Vologods
 ky). A new feature in characteristic p is that the categorical quantizatio
 n is defined over a mod-p analogue of the twistor line rather than merely 
 over a formal disk.\n\nIf time permits\, I will also discuss a constructio
 n\, due to Travkin\, of the canonical categorical quantization over the ri
