DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the FRQSC Research Support for New Academics pro
 gram is to enable the completion of an individual research project\; help 
 support a new generation of researchers and university instructors by assi
 sting new academics embarking upon their careers in establishing themselve
 s as independent researchers and becoming competitive at the national and 
 international levels\; consolidate the research system by supporting up-an
 d-coming research academics and incite new research academics who are begi
 nning their careers to develop original research avenues.\n\nEmerging rese
 archers in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature\, who are 
 planning to apply to the upcoming FRQSC Research Support for New Academics
  2023 competition are encouraged to attend this information session\, whic
 h will include:\n\nA brief introduction about the objectives and applicati
 on requirements of the FRQSC Research Support for New Academics Program by
  Lindsay Dayton\, Grants and Agreements Officer\, Office of Sponsored Rese
 arch\;\nA presentation from Dr. Daiva Nielsen\, Assistant Professor\, Depa
 rtment of Human Nutrition\, who will share her insights for preparing a su
 ccessful proposal\;\nA question and answer period where participants will 
 be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program and t
 he application process.\n		 \nThose who are unable to attend or wish to prov
 ide their questions in advance are invited to send their inquiries to lind
 say.dayton [at] mcgill.ca (Lindsay Dayton) (ext. 1062) so that they may be
  covered during the session.\n\n \n\nThis session will be hosted on Zoom –
