As part of听, the Redpath Museum presents a series of 4 special virtual workshop animated by students from听SMOrES.

Dig into fossils and find out how to make them at home. How do we know dinosaurs are real if we have never seen them? Fossils, of course! This virtual workshop will teach you all about fossils and how they are made and how to make some for yourself! Materials you will need at home: little plastic animals or shells, the ingredients for salt dough (all purpose flour, salt, cold water) or readymade cookie dough. Don鈥檛 worry if you don鈥檛 have the materials, join in anyway and find out how fossils are formed!

Note: We will be making the salt dough and imprinting the fossils during the activity, they will need to be baked after the activity to preserve them. Instructions will be provided.

Advance registration for this event is now closed. But we have more events in store for you here. The link for the event will be forwarded to participants on the Friday prior to the event

In English only.

Suitable for a family audience.听
