Science Literacy Week: The Geology of our Solar System - CANCELED

Join us during 听to explore the fascinating geology of our solar system! Learn about space rocks, impact craters, major volcanic events,听and minerals that occur on different planets. Participants will handle a variety听of mineral specimens and identify their properties with different tools, such as magnifying听glasses听and magnets.听

For ages 6-12. Bilingual.

Each workshop is 10,00$+tax per child and payable on the day of the workshop (by cash or card). Parents are free with suggested family contribution to the museum. Please arrive 20 minutes in advance to check-in and pay at the front desk.听

Land Acknowledgement

Rematriation, Repatriation and Restitution Statement

We acknowledge that the return and restitution of cultural and natural heritage to communities of origin is an essential part of reconciliation and of recognizing the fundamental rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of wider efforts to activate the standards presented in the Canadian Museums Association Report Moved to Action: Activating UNDRIP in Canadian Museums (2022), the Redpath is working towards pro-active restitution practices. As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.

Accessibility

Please note that the Redpath Museum is not accessible to individuals using wheelchairs. There are no access ramps or elevators, and access to the upper floors is only possible via a central staircase. The exterior entrance, interior spaces, exhibition rooms, and restrooms are not adapted to meet universal accessibility standards. Additionally, the building is not air-conditioned.
