  We propose and demonstrate a novel solution to enable the collection of 3
 D positions in thousands of cells each minute by merging two technologies:
  point-spread-function engineering and imaging flow cytometry. We apply th
 is approach to track nanoscale dynamics in cell populations responding to 
 drug treatments and undergoing environmental changes with robust statistic
 s. Finally\, I will discuss future opportunities of deploying flow-based\,
  single-cell techniques in tandem for elucidating cell mechanisms and in b
 uilding sensitive diagnostic tools.\n
