It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Dr. Marc Laporta.

Dr. Laporta was a valued member of the Department of Psychiatry for over 36 years, working at the MUHC and at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, where he led the WHO Collaborative Center.

Dr. Michael Meaney is among 100 newly elected regular members of the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), one of the highest honors in health and medicine.
