Jay C. Buckey Jr\, Professor of Medicine\, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.\n\nEvent Description:\n\nAs anyone who has tried to carry on a conversation in a crowded restaurant or bar knows\, understanding speech w hen there’s background noise present is hard to do. Cou ld this finding be used to provide an early marker of cognitive problems i n Alzheimer’s disease?\n\nThis talk will cover what is known about using t he brain’s ability to process sound as a marker of cognitive function as w ell as the work we are doing to try to make this finding into a clinically useful tool.\n\nRegistration\n DTSTART:20211123T170000Z DTEND:20211123T180000Z SUMMARY:Brainy Boomers Lecture Series URL:/psychiatry/channels/event/brainy-boomers-lecture- series-335061 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
