DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to invite you for “Windows on the Future\,” a 
 workshop on ekphrastic poetry featuring a sculpture on 9I���������’s campus\, M
 arcel Barbeau’s Fenêtre sur l’avenir (1992)\, which many of us pass every 
 day. This year’s theme for Poetry Matters’ workshops in creative writing i
 s ekphrasis — broadly defined\, descriptive writing in response to a work 
 of art or other object. This guided workshop with poet Sarah Wolfson and c
 urator Gwendolyn Owens provides opportunity to develop ekphrastic poetry i
 n response to sculpture.\n\nPlease note that this event has been reschedul
 ed from Thursday to Friday\, April 22 due to the prediction of rain.\n\nDa

 e\, 9I��������� campus\n\nAbout the facilitators\n\nGwendolyn Owens is Director
  of 9I���������’s Visual Arts Collection and former assistant curator of the Ca
 nadian Centre for Architecture.\n\nSarah Wolfson is author of A Common Nam
 e for Everything\, which won the A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry from the Queb
 ec Writers’ Federation. She teaches at the 9I��������� Writing Centre.\n\nAll a
