Alison has BA in the Biological Basis of Behavior\, with a minor in the Hi story and Sociology of Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She ha s PhD in Biology and Biomedical Sciences from Washington University\, wher e she was in the Molecular Genetics and Genomics program\, but did her dis sertation in a Neuroscience lab. She did two postdoctoral fellowships at E mory University\, receiving additional training in neurotoxicology\, neuro science and epigenetics. She is now an Assistant Professor at Michigan Sta te University College of Human Medicine\, where she runs her own lab explo ring the role of epigenetics in mediating the effect of environmental expo sures on the risk of developing Parkinson's disease. Outside of work\, Ali son is a mom of two.
