Gender\, race\, class\, and other social id entities render Indigenous and Black women more vulnerable to a web of ine qualities that inflict violence on their bodies\, lands\, and communities\ , including environmental racism. In response\, these women have been lead ing grassroots environmental justice movements for decades to challenge th e legal\, political\, and corporate agendas condoning the presence of pois ons in their communities. In this lecture\, Dr. Ingrid Waldron examines th e sociopolitical factors that expose these women to the disproportionate s ocial\, ecological\, and health impacts of environmental racism in their c ommunities.
