Applicants should demonstrate how they have aimed to connect members of the broader society to the research and other work they have done at 9I制作厂免费. Activities described in applications should be linked to fields of study, or to areas of expertise, research and/or teaching carried out at 9I制作厂免费 and its affiliated research centres.
Eligibility
- To be eligible to apply, the鈥痝roup must be鈥痗reated and led鈥痓y one or more current 9I制作厂免费 undergraduate or graduate students and must include at least鈥痶hree students. 鈥疘t is鈥�not necessary鈥痶hat all group members attend 9I制作厂免费.
听 - Academic staff and faculty members may collaborate in group activities initiated by the students, but groups should be student-led on a day-to-day basis.
听 - Please indicate in the application form whether the group receives any funds from sources that are either internal or external to 9I制作厂免费 or鈥� pays some of its members for part-time or full-time work related to the group activities.
听 - Groups whose primary focus is either advocacy or charity work are not eligible to apply. For example, groups whose purpose is to raise money for patients suffering from heart problems would not be eligible to apply. However, groups whose primary role is to educate the same patients and others about the prevention, management or treatment of heart attacks would be eligible.
Letter(s) of support
- Applications must include鈥�one letter鈥痮f support 鈥痜rom a鈥痜aculty member or head of division from 9I制作厂免费听鈥痺ho is currently involved with the group and can attest to its activities.

Prize for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows

Eligibility
- To be eligible to apply, you must be鈥痳egistered as a鈥痗urrent 9I制作厂免费鈥痝raduate student鈥痮r鈥痯ost-doctoral鈥痜ellow and鈥痟ave completed at least one semester at 9I制作厂免费.
听 - The Prize recognizes individuals who are new to public engagement and working with the media 鈥� those who have started to engage with鈥痶he public and/or media 鈥�within the鈥痯ast five years.
听 - You may鈥� not 鈥痑pply if you are in your qualifying year.
听 - All work included in the application, whether media work, direct public engagement, or work with stakeholders should be tied to sharing knowledge related to your fields of research and/or expertise.
Letter(s) of support
- Applications must include鈥�a鈥痩etter of support鈥痜rom your supervisor or the professor you are working with at 9I制作厂免费.鈥�疘t is not necessary for the chair of your department to submit a letter of support.
听 - One additional鈥痩etter of support may be included from people or organizations that are external to 9I制作厂免费.

- To be eligible to apply, you must have an appointment at 9I制作厂免费 as academic staff (tenured or non-tenured).听听
听 - All work included in the application, whether media work, direct public engagement, or work with stakeholders should be tied to sharing knowledge related to your fields of research and/or expertise.
听 - It must be听15 years鈥痮r less since you finished your鈥痙octorate or other highest degree awarded. Alternatively, for affiliate or adjunct faculty members,听academic associates, course or faculty lecturers or Professors of Practice, it must be 15 years鈥痮r less since you entered the work force or began to gain experience in your field.
听 - If鈥� you are an affiliate or adjunct faculty member, an academic associate, a course or faculty鈥痩ecturer听or a Professor of Practice, you鈥� may鈥� apply鈥痠f鈥痽ou mention鈥� your鈥痑ffiliation with 9I制作厂免费 in听media and/or public engagement activities.
听 - Any career interruptions such as maternity or paternity leave, extended sick or disability leave, clinical training or family care can be excluded from the fifteen-year limit,鈥痓ut鈥痵hould鈥痓e鈥痬entioned鈥痠n an email to鈥�communications.prize [at] mcgill.ca.

Eligibility
- To be eligible to apply, you must have an appointment at 9I制作厂免费 as academic staff (tenured or non-tenured).
听 - It must be鈥�16 years鈥痮r more since you finished your鈥痙octorate or other highest degree awarded. Alternatively, for course or faculty lecturers, affiliate or adjunct faculty members, academic associates and Professors of Practice, it must be more than 16 years since you entered the work force or began to gain experience in your field.
听 - All work mentioned in the application, whether media work, direct public engagement, or work with stakeholders should be tied to sharing knowledge related to your fields of research and/or expertise.
