In recen t years\, an exponentially increasing amount of research has been devoted to implementing machine learning brain-based predictive modelling approach es to uncover neuroimaging signatures of behaviours at an individual level . Here\, I will provide an overview of how these approaches and highlight the methodological and interpretational challenges associated with these m odels. Next\, I will present findings from a series of studies establishin g the neurobiological correlates of distinct behaviours. Finally\, I will argue that these approaches can provide us with clinically-relevant insigh ts and subsequently inform the development of personalised early intervent ion\, diagnostic\, and therapeutic strategies for neurological and psychia tric illnesses.\n\n\nThe Feindel Brain and Mind Seminar Series will advanc e the vision of Dr. William Feindel (1918–2014)\, Former Director of the N euro (1972–1984)\, to constantly bridge the clinical and research realms. The talks will highlight the latest advances and discoveries in neuropsych ology\, cognitive neuroscience\, and neuroimaging.\n\nSpeakers will includ e scientists from across The Neuro\, as well as colleagues and collaborato rs locally and from around the world. The series is intended to provide a virtual forum for scientists and trainees to continue to foster interdisci plinary exchanges on the mechanisms\, diagnosis and treatment of brain and cognitive disorders.\n\n \n DTSTART:20231002T170000Z DTEND:20231002T180000Z LOCATION:De Grandpre Communications Centre\, Montreal Neurological Institut e\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 2B4\, 3801 rue University SUMMARY:Feindel Brain and Mind Seminar Series: Brain-Based Predictive Model s: Applications and Challenges in Neuroscience and Psychiatry URL:/neuro/channels/event/feindel-brain-and-mind-semin ar-series-brain-based-predictive-models-applications-and-challenges-351142 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
