 ill be served.\n\nAbstract\n\nOuranos is a consortium on regional climatol
 ogy and adaptation to climate change with the mission to « Acquire and dev
 elop knowledge on climate change\, its impacts and the socioeconomic and e
 nvironmental vulnerabilities in order to inform policy-makers on climate c
 hange and help them identify\, evaluate\, promote and implement national\,
  regional and local adaptation strategies ». In other words\, Ouranos’ foc
 us is not on fundamental research\, but rather applied studies that can ai
 d informed decision making of its members with respect to adaptation to cl
 imate change. The Climate simulations and analyses group’s core is compose
 d of former UQAM research associates who were incorporated into the consor
 tium at its very beginning. Almost 15 years later\, a portrait of the grou
 p’s adaptation to evolving research mandates and orientations is presented
  using examples of realisations such as the analysis of severe storms in a
  changing environment and climate vulnerability timescales \n
