 s only)聽\n			\n		\n	\n\n\nAbout the Speaker\n\nProfessor Eric Westhof studied bi
 ophysics at the University of Li猫ge in Belgium and earned his PhD in Germa
 ny. At the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of the National Cen
 ter for Scientific Research in Strasbourg\, he assembled numerous 3D model
 s of RNA\, including group I introns (in collaboration with F. Michel) and
  RNaseP RNA\, which were later validated through comparison with X-ray str
 uctures. Together with Neocles Leontis\, he introduced a comprehensive nom
 enclature for annotating all types of nucleic acid base pairs.\n\nSince 20
 10\, Professor Westhof has been organizing RNA-Puzzles\, an international 
 competition aimed at evaluating predictions of RNA 3D structures. He is a 
 member of both the French and German Academies of Sciences and serves as e
 xecutive editor for聽Nucleic Acids Research聽and聽The RNA Journal. He current
 ly holds the position of professor emeritus at the University of Strasbour
 g and principal investigator at the Wenzhou Institute of the Chinese Acade
 my of Sciences in Wenzhou\, China.\n\nHis research focuses on the principl
 es of RNA folding and ribosomal translation. By integrating RNA and riboso
 me structures with sequence alignments\, he seeks to extract and unify the
  architectural rules governing RNA. In the field of ribosomal translation\
 , he continues to explore the role of tRNA sequences and modifications wit
 hin the interconnected energy network of the ribosome.\n\nRegister\n\nBe p
