She also recently served as a member of the federal council on the implementation of national pharmacare.\n\nBeginning her career in Canada in health as a ward maid\, Camille is a passionate advocate for social cha nge and health equity. She rose to the role of CEO of Toronto Central Comm unity Care Access Centre (CCAC)\, a nonprofit\, serving close to 20\,000 c lients monthly\, where she launched Language Services Toronto\, a telephon e interpretation service for non-English speaking patients of Toronto’s ho spitals.\n\nShe later became CEO of Toronto Central Local Health Integrati on Network (LHIN)\, where she was in charge of allocating $4.2 billion to over 170 hospitals\, long-term care homes\, and community agencies\, servi ng approximately 1.15 million Torontonians and hundreds of thousands of ot hers who came to the area for care. Among her many achievements\, Camille also co-founded Pathways to Education\, a stay-in-school program for high- school students that has served over 18\,000+ youth in Canada.\n\nIn 2021 Camille was awarded with a 2021 Top 25 Women of Influence Lifetime Achieve ment Award\; the first time she received the Top 25 award was in 2012.
