DESCRIPTION:On semiconjugate Rational Functions\n\nLet A\, B be two rationa
 l functions of degree at least two on the Riemann sphere. The function B i
 s said to be semiconjugate to the function A if there exists a nonconstant
  rational function X such that the equality (1) A ◦ X = X ◦ B holds. The s
 emiconjugacy relation plays an important role in the classical theory of c
 omplex dynamical systems as well as in the new emerging field of arithmeti
 c dynamics. In the talk we present a description of solutions of (1) in te
 rms of twodimensional orbifolds of non-negative Euler characteristic on th
 e Riemann sphere. As an application\, we provide new results about the cla
 ssical problem of description of commuting rational functions to which equ
 ation (1) reduces for A = B.\n
