It was introduced by a combination of Cordes and C harney--Sultan and captures the hyperbolic-like behavior of G at infinity. In this talk\, I will motivate the research on Morse boundaries in severa l steps. First\, I will explain Stalling's theorem -- a fundamental theore m in geometric group theory. Afterward\, I will explain an analogous state ment for so-called Gromov boundaries of Gromov-hyperbolic groups. As Morse boundaries generalize Gromov boundaries\, this raises the question as to whether one can generalize this statement to Morse boundaries. Finally\, w e will see the relationship between a result on Morse boundaries of graphs of groups and this problem. Results presented are joint with Elia Fiorava nti.\n DTSTART:20230125T200000Z DTEND:20230125T210000Z LOCATION:Room 920\, Burnside Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0B9\, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Annette Karrer (9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ) URL:/mathstat/channels/event/annette-karrer-mcgill-uni versity-345513 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
