At high temperatures \, the formula's minimum is achieved at a measure which is a point mass\, meaning sample configurations are asymptotically orthogonal up to a magnet ic field correction. At low temperatures\, though\, a very different behav ior emerges known as replica symmetry breaking (RSB). The deep wells in th e energy landscape create more rigid structure\, and the optimal overlap m easure is no longer a point mass. The exact size of its support remains in many cases an open problem. Here we consider these themes when mean-field models are relaxed to so-called multi-species spin glasses. I will share some results from joint works with Leila Sloman and Youngtak Sohn.\n\n\n Zo om link: https://mcgill.zoom.us/j/89737173009?pwd=UzlwZkVPK0RnYXk4VGM2aXo4 V3Q2QT09\n DTSTART:20230112T163000Z DTEND:20230112T173000Z LOCATION:Room 1214\, Burnside Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0B9\, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Erik Bates (University of Wisconsin–Madison) URL:/mathstat/channels/event/erik-bates-university-wis consin-madison-344788 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
