More specifically\, t he solution of the PAM at large times tends to be intermittent\, meaning t hat most of the particles concentrate in small regions where the environme nt is most favorable for particle multiplication.\n\nIn this talk\, we dis cuss a new technique to study intermittency in the PAM with a singular ran dom environment. In short\, the technique consists of approximating the si ngular PAM with a regularized version that becomes increasingly singular a s time goes to infinity. Using this technique\, we improve on several know n results and uncover new and unexpected behaviors of the singular PAM.\n \nThis talk is based on a joint work in progress with Promit Ghosal and Yu chen Liao.\n\nLocation: \n\n(Hybrid) https://mcgill.zoom.us/j/86314328515? pwd=WnBuci9qNVNST3l1OTZUaVNTRlQ0UT09\n\nRoom: André Aisenstadt 6214\n DTSTART:20220421T153000Z DTEND:20220421T163000Z SUMMARY:Pierre Yves Gaudreau Lamarre URL:/mathstat/channels/event/pierre-yves-gaudreau-lama rre-339036 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
