We will give an overview of some latest advances in the study of Stekl ov and sloshing spectral asymptotics\, highlighting the effects arising fr om corners\, which appear naturally in the context of sloshing. In particu lar\, we will discuss the proofs of the conjectures posed by Fox and Kuttl er back in 1983 on the asymptotics of sloshing frequencies in two dimensio ns. We will also outline an approach towards obtaining sharp asymptotics f or Steklov eigenvalues on polygons. The talk is based on a joint work with M. Levitin\, L. Parnovski and D. Sher.\n DTSTART:20180427T180000Z DTEND:20180427T190000Z LOCATION:Room VCH-3830\, CA\, Université Laval SUMMARY:Iosif Polterovich\, Université de Montréal URL:/mathstat/channels/event/iosif-polterovich-univers ite-de-montreal-286748 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
