Classica lly\, modular forms are complex analytic objects\, but because their fouri er coefficients are typically integral\, it is possible to do elementary a rithmetic with them. Early examples arose already in the work of Ramanujan . Today one knows that modular forms encode deep arithmetic information ab out elliptic curves and galois representations. The main goal of the lectu re will be to motivate a beautiful theorem of Robert Coleman and Barry Maz ur\, who constructed the so-called Eigenvariety\, which leads to a geometr ic approach to varying modular forms\, their associated galois representat ions\, as well as their L-functions\, in p-adic analytic families. We will briefly discuss important applications to Number Theory and Iwasawa Theor y.\n DTSTART:20180301T203000Z DTEND:20180301T213000Z LOCATION:Room 3840\, CA\, Université Laval SUMMARY:Glenn Stevens\, Boston University URL:/mathstat/channels/event/glenn-stevens-boston-univ ersity-285302 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
