 ction of global food systems challenges. This lecture is open to all stude
 nts and faculty.\n\nAbout the speaker\n\nGreg Hallen is a Team Leader with
  Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC). As part of Can
 ada's foreign affairs and development efforts\, IDRC champions and funds r
 esearch and innovation within and alongside developing regions to drive gl
 obal change. For 15 years\, Greg has led programs aiming to develop eviden
 ce\, innovations\, and policies to improve health\, build healthier food s
 ystems\, and prevent non-communicable and infectious diseases. Through bui
 lding effective\, multidisciplinary teams and negotiating partnerships\, h
 is programs have enabled bodies of evidence and fields of practitioners in
  LMICs to advance national policy adoption\, build regional and global con
 sensus and influence agendas toward more preventive or policy-oriented act
 ions.\n
