Diatta\n\nAssistant profe ssor at the Department of Agronomy\, Gaston Berger University\, Senegal\n \nIn addition to his roles as assistant professor of Agronomy and Coordina tor of the University Diploma of Technology in Agroecology at Gaston Berge r University (Senegal)\, Andre A. Diatta is also a Research Affiliate in R esearch and Development at the Ecological Monitoring Center (CSE)\, and wa s previously a Postdoctoral Fellow in Agronomy at Kansas State University. \n\nDiatta's research and outreach focus on soil fertility\, nutrient mana gement\, cropping system diversification\, conservation agriculture\, and alternative crops. He has published several refereed journal articles\, bo ok chapters and technical reports and has engaged in projects based in Sen egal with a goal of developing human and institutional capacity in agricul tural teaching\, research\, training\, and outreach. Diatta worked with se veral agriculture and nutrition development programs to promote mung bean adoption across several regions in Senegal to improve nutrition and food s ecurity.
