To evaluate risk of adverse outcomes in rural Panama (anemia /iron deficiency poorly responsive to iron supplements\, risk of hypertens ive disorders of pregnancy and poor fetal growth)\, we recruited 213 pregn ant women attending routine follow-up in a cross-sectional study. Data on maternal and environmental risk factors\, anthropometry\, symphysis-fundal height (SFH) and clinically and laboratory detected infections were colle cted\; hematological indicators\, biomarkers of inflammation (Creactive pr otein CRP\, hepcidin and cytokines)\, iron and protein status\, and micron utrients (folic acid\, vitamins B12\, A and D) were measured. Novel findin gs emerged.\n\nEveryone in the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ community is welcome to attend a PhD Oral Defence. Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our Ph D candidates.\n DTSTART:20190808T171500Z DTEND:20190808T171500Z LOCATION:MS2-022\, Macdonald-Stewart Building\, CA\, QC\, St Anne de Bellev ue\, H9X 3V9\, 21111 Lakeshore Road SUMMARY:PhD Oral Defence: Interpretation of maternal and fetal biomarkers i n a population of pregnant indigenous women with coexisting nutrient de9ic iencies and infections URL:/macdonald/channels/event/phd-oral-defence-interpr etation-maternal-and-fetal-biomarkers-population-pregnant-indigenous-women -299036 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
