These by-products are mainly used as anima l feed ingredients. The structural and the compositional properties of the se yeast by-products make them a potential source of value-added ingredien ts\, mainly mannoproteins and ß-glucan\, which accounted for approximately 40% (w/w) and 60% (w/w) of yeast cell wall dry weight. However\, the tech no-functional and health promoting properties of mannoproteins and ß-gluca n are dependent on their molecular and structural properties\; thus the is olation of these components with well-defined structures is a key step tow ards modulating their functional properties for specific applications.\n\n Everyone in the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ community is welcome to attend a PhD oral defence. Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our PhD candidates.\n DTSTART:20190220T181500Z DTEND:20190220T181500Z LOCATION:P-117\, Parasitology Building\, CA\, QC\, St Anne de Bellevue\, H9 X 3V9\, 21111 Lakeshore Road SUMMARY:PhD Oral Defence: Mannoproteins and ß-Glucan from Saccharomyces Cer evisiae Yeast-based Products: Isolation and Characterization of Their Prop erties URL:/macdonald/channels/event/phd-oral-defence-mannopr oteins-and-ss-glucan-saccharomyces-cerevisiae-yeast-based-products-isolati on-294636 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
