 s biofuels precursors\, fine chemicals synthesis\, and monomers to polymer
 s. The synthesis of HMF derivative based polymers offers a wide range of p
 ossibilities. Therefore\, the main objective of this research was to synth
 esize and characterize HMF derivative based linear polymers or networks wi
 th tunable structures and properties using the thiol-Michael addition reac
 tion. Furthermore\, the potential applications were explored as well.\n\nE
