DESCRIPTION:The goal of this monthly workshop is to provide a medium for di
 scussion for our faculty and students and allow them to be exposed to new 
 and exciting research in the field of mass spectrometry with a focus on fo
 od/nutrition/environment and agriculture. Held once a month from 12-1 pm o
 n a Wednesday\, we hope this will be an enlightening hour for all those wh
 o participate. \n\nOpen to everyone! Anyone interested in learning more ab
 out Mass Spectrometry and its applications will obtain a great deal from t
 hese monthly workshops.\n\nMulti-mycotoxin LC-MS methods: pushing the limi
 ts of sensitivity and selectivity in complex samples\n\nSpeaker: Dr. Dajan
 a Vuckovic\, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry\, Concordia Universi
 ty\n\nDajana Vuckovicis an assistant professor in the Department of Chemis
 try at Concordia University. She holds the Concordia University Research C
 hair in Clinical Metabolomics\, Biomarkers and Preventive Health\, and is 
 the Director of the Centre for Biological Applications of Mass Spectrometr
 y. Vuckovic's group focuses on the development of new and improved methods
  to study low abundance metabolome in biological fluids and tissues and bi
 omarker discovery and validation for clinical and preventive health applic
