The Department of Natural Resource Sciences is dedicated to understanding natural and managed ecosystems from molecular to global scales. Our graduate students work within one or several disciplines of basic and applied environmental sciences to solve problems related to sustainability, biodiversity, conservation, and optimal management of natural resources. Together, we carry out innovative scientific research to tackle agricultural and environmental problems.

The Department offers MSc and PhD programs in the following areas:
