Marvin Duchow Music Library

Location of computer workstations

  • Many public computer workstations are distributed across the 3 floors of the Library.
  • 2 guest account stations are available, identified by a yellow sticker on the top of the monitor. Locations:
    • 3rd floor: straight ahead from the main entrance, beside A-319
    • 4th floor: directly beside the washrooms
  • All computer stations in the Music Library are equipped with headphones to facilitate private listening to and viewing of recorded performances.
  • Scanners are located in the following locations:
    • All machines have flatbed scanning capabilities
    • 3rd floor: A flatbed scanner is available on computer Music031
    • 5th floor: A flatbed scanner is available on computer MusicLab004 (Music Student Computer Room (MSCR))

Laptop computers

  • The Music Library lends a limited number of Mac laptops with specialized music software (details below, under “Specialized software”). Note: available only to Music students/faculty
  • The Music Library lends 2 Mac laptops and 2 PC laptops with standard 9I software offerings. Note: available only to Music students/faculty

Music Student Computer Room (MSCR)

The Music Student Computer Room, located on the 5th floor, provides a highly specialized environment for music and multimedia authoring. (Access prioritized for students in Music)

  • 12 workstations with piano keyboards, 9 with desktop computers - 4 Macs (OS X) and 5 PCs (Windows 10) - are available in the MSCR
