Given that much of the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries' collection of print items has been moved to our offsite Collections Centre, PhD students can now apply for a second borrowing card to ensure they can check out all the materials they need. This card is called a PhD Research Card.

To request a PhD Research Card, you must register for a 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing card and select the PhD Research Card category.

9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing Cards

9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing Cards are valid in all 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ libraries, subject to the borrowing policies of individual collections.

A 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing Card may only be used by the person to whom it is issued.

Fines or other sanctions are imposed for late returns and cards may be cancelled if misused.

Note: Registering for a 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing Card does not provide remote access to the Library’s electronic resources to those not already eligible, nor does it give you access to all library services and resources.

Visit the Service Desk at any 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ library location except the Rare Books & Special Collections Library or the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Archives.

Please note that your regular 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ borrowing account and your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing card are two separate accounts that are not connected to one another.

Your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing card account will have a different password from your regular 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ account. You will be sent a link to set the password for your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing card after you submit your application for the card.

When signing in to your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing card account:

Sign in to your : select "Login with a barcode". Use the barcode on your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Libraries Borrowing Card (begins with 290), and the password you selected during the registration process.
