The 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Library-Raymond Klibansky Research Travel Grant is intended to enable researchers from outside the Montreal area, both established scholars and graduate students, to work on a research project that requires access to material held, in whole or in part, in the Rare Books and Special Collections Department of the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Library.

The research should require a stay of a minimum of two weeks.

The 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Library-Klibansky Research Travel Grant, with a value of up to Can$4,000, is open on a competitive basis.

Applicants must provide:

  1. A 750-word maximum description of the intended project, which must include a description of the material at RBSC which will be consulted;
  2. A current curriculum vitæ;
  3. The dates they intend to work in the library.

Each successful recipient of the grant is required to submit a written report of their time at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ that will be published on the grant’s website, and potentially give a talk about their work. The recipient will also be expected to acknowledge the library’s support in future presentations of the work resulting from research undertaken at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ.
