The objective will involve students\, scholars\, the faculty\, civil society\, and the larger public in meaningful discussions to foster theoretical and practical engagement to advance Indigenous Peoples’ rights .  The dialogues are coordinated by 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Doctoral Candidate Luisa Castan eda-Quintana\, in collaboration with the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism and the Indigenous Law Association / Association du Droit Autoc htone (ILADA).  \n\nIn this dialogue\, the UN Special Rapporteur on the hu man rights to safe drinking water and sanitation will present his recent r eport about the state of realization of the right to safe drinking water a nd sanitation for Indigenous Peoples\, addressing the constraints and fail ures in the fulfilment of these rights. We will talk about the key finding s of the report\, including self-determination\, community-based water man agement and ancestral knowledge of Indigenous Peoples. \n\nAbout the speak er \n\nPedro Arrojo-Agudo\, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation \n\nMr. Pedro Arrojo-Agudo i s the Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sa nitation. Previously\, from 2016 to 2019\, Arrojo-Agudo served as an elect ed member (MP) of the Spanish Parliament during its eleventh and twelfth l egislature\, during which he was part of the International Cooperation Com mittee working on human rights. Arrojo-Agudo was Professor in the Area of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis at the University of Zaragoza (1989-2011 )\, and has been professor emeritus since 2011. In 2002\, Arrojo-Agudo co- founded the New Water Culture Foundation (NWCF)\, an Iberian non-profit or ganization with more than 200 members from academia\, public administratio n and stakeholders in the water sector\, which aims to promote a change to wards a new water culture.
