The objective will invo lve students\, scholars\, the faculty\, civil society\, and the larger pub lic in meaningful discussions to foster theoretical and practical engageme nt to advance Indigenous Peoples’ rights.  The dialogues are coordinated b y 9I Doctoral Candidate Luisa Castaneda-Quintana\, in collaboration wi th the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism and the Indigenous Law Association / Association du Droit Autochtone (ILADA). \n\nAbout the speak er\n\nAnne Nuorgam\, Sámi people\, Chair\, The United Nations Permanent Fo rum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII)\n\nAnne Nuorgam is a long-term Sámi poli tician and a lawyer who holds a Master of Law degree and is currently a Ph .D. student at the University of Lapland. She has been a member of the Sám i Parliament of Finland since 2000. Ms. Nuorgam is the Chair of Veahčanja ́rga Fishery.
