She received her LLB from the Pontifical Catholic Un iversity of São Paulo\, her human rights-focused LLM from Columbia Univers ity School of Law in New York\, and her post-graduate degree in human righ ts at University of São Paulo. In addition to various global human rights initiatives\, Neiva has taken on creative academic endeavours by leading i nnovative human rights business law courses in and collaborative research trips with American law schools.
