DESCRIPTION:The Stikeman Chair in Tax Law is holding its second annual Spie
 gel Sohmer Tax Policy Colloquium as part of its PUB2 515 Tax Policy class.
  Featuring distinguished visiting academics\, it is a forum for students\,
  professors and local practitioners to discuss issues of tax policy and th
 eory\, along with related issues of economics and social justice. This fal
 l\, in its second installment\, the Colloquium will focus on the fundament
 als of corporate tax policy by critically examining issues in national and
  international tax policy.\n\nThis week\, the Colloquium welcomes Richard 
 Murphy\, founder of the Tax Justice Network and the director of Tax Resear
 ch LLP.\n\nRichard Murphy is a chartered accountant and economist. He is t
 he founder of the Tax Justice Network and the director of Tax Research LLP
 \, which undertakes work on tax policy\, advocacy and research. Mr. Murphy
  is the co-author of several publications on tax policy\, including his mo
 st recent book\, “Over Here and Undertaxed: Multinationals\, Tax Avoidance
  and You.”\n\nMembers of the public are welcome (please note that the coll
 oquium takes place in a classroom setting).\n
